Few names in Mexico hold a status like Carlos Cadena’s. He’s a fourth-gen coffee producer (farms: Huehuetepan, Pocitos & La Asuncion) from one of the most traditional coffee-growing regions of Mexico: Cosautlán Veracruz.
Rather than simply inheriting a family legacy, he has worked hard to improve his processes and expand his ever growing business network. From designing a steel tank to enhance his controlled fermentation process to investing rime, resources and effort into traveling and learning about the global coffee market, Cadena stands out by his pursuit of excellence, and makes an honest effort in sharing his knowledge and expertise with the coffee community.
No wonder he has managed to get quite the medal collection, amongst them: México’s COE 3rd place 2023, winner 1st Place Mexican Cup of Excellence 2024, and in 2025 standing again at the top 3.
